HOW TO GET TO CHRIST THE REDEEMER BY VAN?
Come in the Official Van to visit Christ the Redeemer!

SQUARE OF LARGO DO MACHADO
The boarding point is in front of the Mother Church of Nossa Senhora da Glória, near Largo do Machado metro station.
COPACABANA
The boarding point is at Praça do Lido, located between Avenues Atlântica and Nossa Senhora de Copacabana and the streets Belfort Roxo and Ronald de Carvalho.
CAN PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES GET FREE TICKETS?
Paineiras-Corcovado is only responsible for van transportation. Requests for exemption or any other issues related to the Tijuca National Park, please send an email to [email protected].
Our tickets for access to Christ the Redeemer are managed by ICM B10 and we do not have discounts for people with disabilities.
IS IT NECESSARY TO PRINT THE TICKET TO VISIT CHRIST THE REDEEMER?
You can present the ticket purchased online on your mobile phone screen. Besides being more practical, you will be contributing positively to the environment. Positive impact is our legacy!
CAN I GO TO THE PAINEIRAS VISITOR CENTER BY CAR?
The best way to visit Christ the Redeemer and the Visitor Center is by OFFICIAL VAN.
We recommend avoiding going by car to Paineiras as we do not have parking on site, and therefore, we recommend boarding at the Copacabana and Largo do Machado points.
**Access to the Paineiras Visitor Center via Alto da Boa Vista road is closed.
WHAT DOES THE PAINEIRAS CORCOVADO TICKET INCLUDE?
Our tickets include round-trip transportation with our official vans and entry to Christ the Redeemer. The length of stay at the monument is free within the opening hours.
WHO IS ELIGIBLE FOR HALF-PRICE ADMISSION TO PAINEIRAS CORCOVADO?
Visiting Corcovado and Christ the Redeemer is not considered a cultural activity as it falls under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of the Environment, which does not qualify for half-price admission, discounts, or any type of free admission to conservation units. However, we offer reduced rates for children aged 5 to 11 and for Brazilian or foreign residents over 60 years of age. Proof with identification is required on the day of the tour. ARE THERE STOPS DURING THE PAINEIRAS CORCOVADO OFFICIAL TRANSPORTATION TOUR?
No! The van route is only allowed to stop at the boarding and disembarkation points.

WHAT ARE THE OPENING HOURS FOR CHRIST THE REDEEMER?

Largo do Machado – 8am to 4pm every day
Paineiras Corcovado Visitor Center – Every day 7:20am to 6pm (last entry at 5pm)

CAN I BRING MY DOG TO THE CRISTO REDENTOR TOUR?
Pets are not allowed in Paineiras and at Cristo Redentor. Only guide dogs with proof are permitted.
WHAT IS THE BEST TIME TO VISIT CRISTO REDENTOR?
Around 4 PM, there is less sunlight at Alto Corcovado. However, the later you go, the more visitors there are. We recommend securing your online ticket for the first time slot at 8 AM.
DO I NEED TO ARRIVE EXACTLY AT THE SCHEDULED TIME ON MY CRISTO REDENTOR TICKET?
We recommend that all visitors arrive 15 minutes before the scheduled time to visit Cristo Redentor. In case of unexpected delays, there is a tolerance of up to 15 minutes from the chosen time.
CAN I BOARD AT ONE EMBARKATION POINT AND GET OFF AT ANOTHER WITH MY TICKET?
No, the ticket is valid for a round trip from the same embarkation point you purchased.
HOW DOES THE CRISTO REDENTOR PLUS AQUARIUM COMBO WORK?
Now you can buy a ticket for Cristo Redentor and AquaRio (Marine Aquarium of Rio) together at a special price. [CLICK HERE ]
You don’t need to schedule both visits for the same day. Each place can take at least 1 hour and 30 minutes, and you can also purchase both tickets for the same date.
The ticket includes only the round-trip van ride from the Paineiras Corcovado Visitor Center to Cristo Redentor.

Paineiras-Corcovado Ticket Policy
1.PAINEIRAS WEBSITE
1.1. Cancellations:
- Total cancellation is allowed within 7 calendar days from the date of purchase, by requesting it via email to [email protected].
- Partial cancellation of a sale is not possible, even if one of the tickets has not been used.
- Partial cancellation of the AquaRio + Paineiras combo is not possible, even if one of the park tickets has not been used.
- Tickets that have already been picked up at the box office cannot be canceled, even if they have never been used.
- Requests that do not comply with the cancellation policy will be reviewed by the Financial Department under exceptional and justified circumstances.
1.2. Change:
- The customer must request the change by email to [email protected], providing the purchase details and the new desired date and time.
- The deadline for requesting changes for tickets purchased from 01/11/2021 is 30 days from the date of purchase, provided that there is no increase in prices during that period.
- Tickets purchased before that date can be changed to visit until 30/10/2021.
- The procedure can only be performed once.
- Visits related to high-season tickets can only be changed for high-season periods. This procedure also applies to low-season periods.
1.3. No Show:
- Tickets are valid for 30 days from the date of purchase. After this date, it is not possible to request changes, and the ticket will be invalidated if not used.
1.4.Pick-up at the Box Office:
It is not necessary to pick up tickets at the box office. Tickets will be received in the registered email of the holder after the purchase confirmation and must be presented directly at the van embarkation.
A photo identification will be required if it is necessary to pick up tickets at the box office.
2. PAINEIRAS TICKET OFFICE / INTERNAL KIOSK
2.1. Cancellations:
- It is possible to cancel tickets on the same day of purchase directly at the ticket office, provided that none of the tickets from the same purchase has been used.
- It is not possible to cancel tickets that have already been used.
- Requests that do not comply with the cancellation policy will be reviewed by the Financial Department under exceptional and justified circumstances.
2.2. Change:
- Changes to tickets purchased at the ticket office will not be allowed.
3. EXTERNAL KIOSKS (LOCATED AT THE AQUARIUM)
3.1. Cancellations:
It is possible to cancel tickets on the same day of purchase directly at the ticket office, provided that none of the tickets from the same purchase has been used.
It is not possible to cancel tickets that have already been used.
Requests that do not comply with the cancellation policy will be reviewed by the Financial Department under exceptional and justified circumstances.
3.2. Change:
- The customer must request the change directly at the Paineiras ticket office on the desired day of the visit, presenting the identification of the ticket holder.
- The deadline for requesting changes is 30 days from the date of purchase, provided that there is no increase in prices during that period.
- The procedure can only be performed once.
- Visits related to high-season tickets can only be changed for high-season periods. This procedure also applies to low-season periods.
- It is not possible to change part of the tickets from the same sale.
3.3. No Show:
- Tickets from the kiosk are valid for 30 days from the date of purchase. After this date, it is not possible to request changes, and the ticket will be invalidated if not used.
4. COMBO SOLD AT THE AQUARIUM TICKET OFFICE
4.1. Cancellations:
- Cancellation of tickets purchased in the combo sold at the AquaRio ticket office will not be allowed.
4.2. Change:
There is no defined date for the visit.
The visitor can only use the voucher until the 31st day of the month.
4.3. No Show:
- Tickets are valid until the 31st day of the month. After this date, it is not possible to request changes, and the ticket will be invalidated if not used.
